Technical Workshop Week 14

In this weeks technical workshop we have moved away from portraiture for the first time in the course and onto still life. At first I was unsure about still life as I always believed it to be quite boring however I suprised myself and really enjoyed it. We were asked to bring in everyday objects to photograph, using direct light. Indirect light we shall experiment with next week.
This shot of a small colinder creates a dramatic shape with harsh direct lighting, and the smooth texture contrasts with the rough of the material below it. To highlight this textured material we used low lighting to pick up shadows within.
