'Someone Once Told Me...'

Today we got given a mini brief titled 'someone once told me...' to complete during the day to be exhibited in front of our peers. The task was to photograph something which fit with the quote we completed.  

After some brief planning I set out to find myself a slightly dishevelled man willing to pose for a portrait, and shortly after I stumbled upon this dear chap who allowed me to do so in exchange for his The Big Issue magazine. Utter babe.

I am really happy with my outcome which I titled 'Someone once told me appreciate what you have' , the piece of advice in which he gave me. I chose to ask my model for some advice and use that as my title rather than use my own as I felt the portrait could link with any quote to a degree so by using that it felt more raw and personal. 

It was a really good exercise to be part of and to see the rest of the groups work up on the screens, it was really interesting to see all the different interpretations of the task, and the wide range of outcomes.
